Our beloved Shiloh Rene Arai passed unexpectedly of unknown causes on December 2, 2024. He was 25 years old at the time of his passing.
Shiloh was born on April 27, 1999, in Merced, California. He was born and raised in the Merced area, where he knew just about everyone. Shiloh was known for his music skills, his love for music of any genre, he loved working out and rollerblading at the local skate park. Shiloh was a friend to everyone, he was fun, outgoing, always the life of the party, and enjoyed making everyone around him laugh. Shiloh had the biggest heart and loved everyone, if you needed anything he was there to help. He loved nature, he would go on hikes any chance he got. He had a love for animals, especially cats. One of his passions was working towards joining the fire academy and working with CAL FIRE during the fire seasons. Shiloh loved his family so much and never went a day without reaching out to any of them. Shiloh was greatly influenced by his stepfather Tyree Tyler, his Uncle Junior, Uncle Jorge, and Andrew. When you hear the saying it takes a village to raise a child it really does. These four men had a large impact on who Shiloh was as a person and will be forever memorialized. Shiloh was raised by his loving mother Antonia who he loved with all his heart. His Aunt Frances who he referred to as “Auntie” played a large role in raising Shiloh alongside his mother.
Shiloh is preceded in death by his Grandmother Barbara Alvarez, Grandfather Jesus Alvarez, Great Aunt Loretta Young, Aunt Rhonda Graham, Uncle Emery Daniels, Willa Mae Cullen, Joan Sheila Haynie, Vanessa King, and Uquinn King.
Shiloh is survived by his Mother Antonia Tyler, Stepfather Tyree Tyler, Aunt Francisca Alvarez, Aunt Linda Haney, Uncle Junior Alvarez, Uncle Jorge Moreno Sr., Aunt Avisha Nair-Alvarez, Aunt Emma Brown, Uncle Teone Tyler, Uncle Derrick Brown, Jada Phillips. Siblings: sisters Tylaejuh Tyler, Tyrihana Tyler, Tyveah Tyler, Reeree Tyler, and brother Ty’Darius Tyler. As well as cousins Lilliana Moreno, Elizabeth Moreno, Jorge Moreno Jr., Maximus “Max” Alvarez, Raymond Brown, Delilah Brown, Mariah Brown. And a host of other relatives and friends.
Visitation and a Celebration of Life for Shiloh will be held on Friday, December 13, 2024, at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel of Merced. Viewing will be 1:00pm to 3:00pm and the funeral will begin at 3:00pm.
