On January 23, 2024, Dr. Sharloett Roberta Gomez of Merced, made her heavenly journey home, after enduring the devastating trials of cancer. Dr. Sharloett was a long-time resident of Merced, living nearly 20 years in the area.
She was a young Indianapolis girl, when she transplanted into Los Angeles County. Here she took on many roles; she held an upholstery business and worked as a gifted freelance seamstress, in addition to being a “flipper” as a real estate investor. She also worked as a federal employee for the United States Postal Service for over a decade.
Sharloett later moved to Orange County, where she found her true calling and began to nurture her visions of operating a ministry, all the while continuing her education, achieving her Doctorate Degree. Dr. Sharloett Gomez then founded a non-profit organization, Emmanuel Outreach. Through her non-profit, she was able to stretch her charitable works across the world; sending medicine, food, clothing, sleeping bags, mattresses, and any other needs to be filled across the country and to various destinations around the world. Dr. Gomez spent several years traveling through America and South America as an evangelist and working as a non-profit consultant.
Over the years Dr. Sharloett earned her bachelor’s degree in business administration, a master’s degree in biblical counseling, and a PhD in biblical counseling. She received her consecration as Bishop and through years of religious retreat, she was crowned prophetess.
Dr. & Bishop Sharloett Gomez was a woman of fasting, ceaseless prayer, and listening to the heavenly host.
She is survived by her children, sons David Vargas, Joseph Hollywood Gomez, daughter Silhouette Gomez and her sister Cindy Rodgers.
In her own words, “She has finished her work for Jesus, Jehovah here on earth and it’s time to move on”.
