With heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Scott Finn, a devoted father, papa, son, brother, uncle, cousin, and friend. Scott was born on June 5, 1965, in Gaylord, Michigan and passed away unexpectedly on June 29, 2025 in Atwater, California. He was the son of Ronald Virgal Finn and Mary Lou (Mitchell) Finn. Scott was the second of five children: Robyn, Ronnie, Todd and Jerry.
The beginning of Scott's life was spent in Michigan where his earlier days consisted of ice fishing, riding snow mobiles, camping, hunting, and spending time at the racetrack with his dad. But, it was in California where Scott built a life full of meaning, love, and memories. He loved going for a drive in his truck with his dog King, going out to eat (especially Mexican food), spending time with family and watching the races. Scott lived his life with a big heart, a bold spirit, and a deep love for his family, especially his grandchildren, who meant the world to him. Scott called them his pride and joy, and they called him “Papa,” a title he wore with pride. He was a strong, steady presence in their lives, always ready with a laugh, a helping hand, to cheer them on from the sidelines at their games, or a ride in his beloved classic car.
Scott gave what he had freely, never letting anything come before the people he loved most. He had a deep and lifelong passion for Harleys, collecting classic cars, and racing. From the roar of a Harley to the thrill of the track, Scott found freedom and joy on wheels. Whether riding down an open road or cheering from the sidelines at the races, he felt most alive when the engines were loud and the pavement stretched out in front of him. Scott will be remembered for his stubborn charm, his loyalty, his corny jokes, and his unmistakable love for rock ’n’ roll. But more than anything, Scott will be remembered as someone who always showed up, no matter what, a rare and true kind of man.
Scott is preceded in death by his father, Ronald Finn, brothers Ronnie Finn, Todd Finn, Jerry Finn, and uncles Syd Finn and John Finn.
Scott is survived by his, mother; Mary Lou Finn, sister; Robyn Finn, daughter; Ashley Henkle, granddaughters; Kehlani "Half-Pint", Avery "Chill-Billy", Ariana "Little-Bit" and his only grandson Augustine "Papas Little Man". And his two bonus girls Sage "Chuckie" and Salem "Wilburt". He will also be dearly missed by his numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and cousins.
