Robert Cardoza, 77, of Atwater, California, passed away in the early morning hours on April 6, 2026, in the comfort of his home.
Robert lived a life defined by his love of community and his deep devotion to his family. He shared 54 years of marriage with his wife, Joyce, building a home grounded in love, faith, and commitment. His family was his greatest pride.
He found joy in life’s simple moments, including coaching Little League baseball, bowling, golfing, traveling, and giving back to his community. Known for his warmth and humor, Robert had a way of making people feel comfortable and valued.
He is survived by his wife, Joyce; his sons, James (Michael) and Tommy (Amber); his grandchildren, Dominic, Elizabeth, and Gavin; his brother, Dennis (Kathie); and his niece, Brittany, and nephew, Joey, along with countless others who knew him as Bobby, Uncle Bob, Coach, or Mentor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Manuel and Mary Cardoza.
Services will be held at St. Anthony’s Church in Atwater on April 21, 2026. The Rosary will begin at 9:30 a.m., followed by Mass at 10:00 a.m., burial will follow at Winton Cemetery. A reception will be held at the Atwater Community Center from 1:00–4:00 p.m. to share food and memories.
