Norman Charles Passadori, a lifelong resident of Merced County, passed away peacefully on April 13, 2025 at the age of 93. Born on June 7, 1931, to Charles and Nora Passadori, Norman lived a life rooted in family, community, and the land he loved. The family operated the Ballico Cash Store, a cornerstone of the community for many years.

A dedicated farmer for more than 70 years, Norman cultivated almonds and walnuts in Ballico with passion and pride. He was widely respected in the agricultural community and was honored as the Merced County Tree and Vine Farmer of the Year in 2011, a testament to his commitment and excellence in farming.

Norman married the love of his life, Anne Aveiro, and together they shared 58 wonderful years of marriage. He was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

In addition to his work on the farm, Norman served as Ballico Volunteer Fire Chief and was an active member of the Soil Conservation Committee, reflecting his deep dedication to both safety and stewardship of the land. He proudly served in the United States Army during the Korean conflict and was active in the American Legion Chapter in Ballico. Norman was an avid pilot. He flew and owned many different types of aircraft, even building a Breezy.

He was preceded in death by his beloved wife Anne, daughter Cathleen, and great-grandson Eyan Brisco.

Norman is survived by his son David (Lorraine) Passadori; daughter-in-law Linda Passadori, grandchildren Sarah (David) Marsh, Jennifer Brisco, and Todd Brisco; and great-granddaughter Lily Rife. His memory will be cherished by all who knew and loved him.

A man of quiet strength, deep roots, and enduring kindness, Norman leaves behind a legacy of hard work, service, and love.
