On Saturday October 4, 2025 “Grandma” Mercy, 88, left her home here on earth to join her beloved husband, sisters, brothers, and grandson in heaven. She was born on February 14, 1937 in Planada, CA. Throughout her life she was a shining example of love, grace, and devotion. Her faith in God guided her every step, and she touched the lives of all who knew her through her kindness, compassion, and prayerful spirit.
Mercy worked at Live Oak Farms in Le Grand for over 10 years, and Hadley Yosemite Farms for over 20 years, as a production line Supervisor where she retired. She loved to spend time with family, going to the Casino and shopping. She was known for her gentle heart, her laughter, and her wisdom, love for family, and dedication to her faith. Many did not think to ask for her name because she was known as, “Grandma,” many loved her and she wholeheartedly loved being called “Grandma.” She believed that every day was a blessing and that love was the truest expression of God’s grace. She will be deeply missed by so many that loved and cared for her.
