Mary Elizabeth Matasci

Mary Matasci of Atwater, California, passed away surrounded by her loving family on December 16, 2023. Born January 6, 1935 to John and Julia Aveiro. She graduated from Livingston High in 1952, and married her High School Sweetheart Edward Matasci in 1954, together they raised two wonderful children, Laura and Mark. Mary was a very proud Grandmother to Edward, Traci, and Travis, her grand kids were her greatest joy. During her working career, she held various retail position through out Atwater, Winton, Castle AFB, and also as a Ballico school bus driver. She enjoyed visiting and spending time with family, especially during the holidays. She also had a vast collection of dolls, she acquired through out the years. Mary had various flower beds she enjoyed taking care of, she was a very loving and giving person. Mary was proceeded in death by husband Edward, mother Julia, father John, siblings; Julia, Adrian, William, Johnny, Lester, Rosie, Frank, and Annie. She is survived by daughter Laura (Michael) Harland, son Mark Matasci, and her three grand kids Eddie (Ali) Harland, Traci (Jarami) Bento, and Travis Harland, and numerous nieces and nephews. Mary's family would like to extend a very special Thank You to the Doctors, Nurses and staff at Memorial Medical Center, Modesto ICU; you were all so very compassionate and caring. Visitation will be held on January 4, 2024 at 11:00 a.m. Services will be at 12:00 p.m. at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel 1290 Winton Way Atwater, Ca. Followed by burial at Winton District Cemetery 7651 W Almond Ave. Winton, Ca.
