Manuel Baiz Obituary

It is with tenderness of heart to announce his passing on Friday, June 14th, at the age of 77.   Raised as a country boy in Winton CA, he worked diligently on home estate.  He served in the US Army from 1966-1969 in the missiles program, honorably discharged in April 1969.  He enjoyed memberships in the Local Moose Lodge 1608 and American Legion 74.

Manuel was a sensitive man, enjoyed the Motown sound, and a long ride in the country.   He enjoyed the family pool league in the Modesto, playing city softball, and traveling in Mexico.

Manuel’s career spanned 41 years: US Postal Service 1969-2003 (Merced-Modesto-Stockton), plus 7 years for Gallo Winery Modesto.

He leaves his daughter Debbie Vargas (Eddie), 3 Grandchildren and 5 Great Grandchildren, and stepdaughter of heart Zoria Garcia (Cesar), El Paso TX.

Manuel was predeceased by his parents and most siblings.  Lupe Mendonca, sister, and Robert Baiz, brother, live in Atwater CA.  Manuel cherished his family, many cousins and nephews.

Your kindness to remember Manuel may be a donation to your favorite charity.  Blessings to you. (Manuel’s life was shortened by Interstitial Pulminary Fibrosis. Grateful for his Doctors and staff who provided the best care.)

(shared, w/love Dolores Roberts)

Remembrance will be held at the Wilson Family Funeral Chapel, 1290 Winton Way, Atwater, CA  95301
