Lois Pelowski, 94, passed away peacefully on September 4, 2025 in her Atwater home of 50 years with her family by her side.
Lois was born in North Dakota on November 20, 1930. Her father, John, was a farmer who remarried following the passing of Lois' mother, Helen, and moved to Springfield, MN. Lois had four siblings from her mother Helen and four siblings from her stepmother Gladys. She married Robert (Bob) Pelowski on April 2, 1955 in Springfield and they were married for 49 years.
She was a strong and supportive Air Force wife, traveling across the country with five children between many Air Force bases. Later in life, she worked at Atwater High School for 10 years as a school administrative support staff member. Lois was a life member of the Winton VFW Women's Auxiliary. Those that knew her will remember her for her kind heartedness and love for her family.
Lois is survived by her five children and their spouses: son Gregg and his wife Mary; son Glenn; son Keith and his wife Deana; daughter Vicki; and son Brian and his wife Myra. Lois is blessed with eight grandchildren and three great grandchildren.
Graveside services will be held at 10:00AM, Monday, September 15th, 2025 at the Winton
Cemetery District.
