Linda S. Unruh, 88, of Winton/Atwater, California passed away September 17, 2023 after having pneumonia.

Linda Susanne Unruh was born June 15, 1935 in Warroad, Minnesota to Dedrick and Agathe (Leppe) Heppner.  On June 15, 1954 she married Kenneth Unruh in Warroad, Minnesota.  They moved from Hastings, Minnesota to Winton, California in 1959.

Linda is survived by daughter Sharon and sons Lowell, Wesley & Wayne; brother Don Heppner; sisters-in-law Violet and Dorothy; 8 grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews. Linda was preceded in death by husband Ken, son Russell, her parents, sister Edna Ortman and brothers Harvey, Leonard, and Alfred Heppner.

Linda worked part-time and also volunteered as secretary/treasurer at her church for several years.  Linda & Ken owned and operated K & L Christmas Tree Farm in Winton for many years. She enjoyed collecting glassware and was known for her salt & pepper shaker collection. She loved spending time with family and traveling with Ken.

A Celebration of Life service will be held Friday October 6, 2023 @ 11:00 a.m. at the First Southern Baptist Church, 7264 Myrtle Ave, Winton, CA 95301. In lieu of flowers donations in Linda’s name may be made to Lives Under Construction Boys Ranch, 296 Boys Ranch Rd, Lampe MO 65681 (lucboys.org).
