Linda Jansen Deardorff Barenchi

It is with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear mother, grandmother, sister, cousin and friend, Linda Jansen Deardorff Barenchi.

Linda was born to Johan and Madelyn Jansen on June 11, 1948 in Los Angeles, California.  Linda and her family moved to the Livingston area at a young age.  She attended Elementary School in Livingston and graduated from Livingston High School in 1966.  She then attended a Business School in San Francisco.  Linda married Ron Deardorff and they welcomed their son William (Bill) Deardorff in 1970.  

Linda enjoyed her 35 year career with Farmers Insurance.  She retired in a Supervisors position.  During her time working for Farmers Insurance in Pleasanton, CA, she fell in love with her co-worker Chuck Barenchi.  They were married for 21 years.  They enjoyed traveling anywhere and everywhere!  

Linda is preceded in death by her parents, Johan (Joe) and Madelyn Jansen, brothers Jerry and Tom Jansen and the “love of her life” Chuck.  Linda is survived by her son Bill Deardorff (Tracy), grandsons Jacob and Ben Deardorff, brother Wayne (Kathy) Jansen and sister-in-law Darlene Jansen. Stepsons Tom (Alison) Barenchi, and Scott (Sheila) Barenchi.  Step grandchildren Alexandra Barenchi (Sarah), Austin Barenchi (Melany), Christopher Greenwood, and step-great granddaughter Adaline Nell Barenchi.  She also leaves behind many cousins and friends that cherish her memory.  

Linda’s service will be held on Saturday, May 31st at 10:00 am at Wilson’s Family Funeral Home located at 1290 Winton Way in Atwater.  In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
