Lewis Parrish Jr., 79, passed away on March 13, 2025, in Atwater, California. Born on August 4, 1945, in Jacksonville, Florida, Lewis lived a life marked by dedication to family, service to country, and a love for the outdoors.
A proud veteran, Lewis served in the United States Air Force and retired after a distinguished career. His commitment to duty and honor was evident throughout his years of service, leaving a lasting impact on those who served alongside him.
Beyond his military career, Lewis found joy in fishing and had an enduring passion for all sports. Whether casting a line on a quiet morning or cheering on his favorite teams, he embraced these pastimes with enthusiasm.
Lewis is survived by his beloved wife of 53 years, Violet; children, Mark (Patcheree), Reuben (Danielle), and Maria (Martin); as well as seven cherished grandchildren: Jordyn, Sydney, Madison, Zoe, Zion, Trinity, and Layla; great-grandchild Jaxon. He is predeceased by his father, Lewis Parrish Sr.; his mother, Eloise Parrish; and his sister, Normadene Williams.
A burial service will be held on March 24, 2025, at San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery in Santa Nella, California. The service will take place from 2:00 PM to 3:00 PM at 32053 McCabe Road.
Lewis’s memory will live on in the hearts of those who knew him. May his legacy bring comfort and inspiration to all who were fortunate enough to share in his journey.
