Jerry Lee Gatlin

It is with heavy hearts that we announce Jerry Gatlin, known affectionately to some as “Bo/Bozie”, age 55, passed away on February 29, 2024, in Atwater, California. Born on October 8, 1968, in Nashville, TN, to Tabitha and Charles Gatlin. He was a beloved son, brother, father, and grandfather.

Jerry was a man known for his kindness and generosity to friends and those who he came in contact with. Described as one of the nicest and sweetest individuals, he would go out of his way to help anyone in need. His love knew no bounds. Despite his occasional stubbornness, his intentions were always pure.

In his career, Jerry worked in Yosemite National Park, a place he adored and became the best version of himself. His love for nature extended to his hobbies, which included fishing, exploring Yosemite, camping, playing pool, and most importantly watching NASCAR.

Jerry is survived by his only beloved daughter, Christina Mora; grandsons, Andrew (Andy) Perez and Richie Mora; granddaughters, Grace (Gracie) Mora, and Lexie Mora; brother, Bill Gatlin; sister-in-law, Barbara Gatlin; sister, Judy Godman; brother-in-law, John Godman; nephew, Bill Gatlin; and nieces, Jennifer Gatlin, and Stefanie Hoffman. As well as many cousins.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Tabitha Gatlin; father, Charles Gatlin; and brother, Jesse Gatlin.

Services for Jerry will be held at Winton Cemetery in Winton, CA at 11:00 am on March 22, 2024

Wilson Family Funeral Chapel in Atwater, CA, is assisting with the arrangements. Jerry will be deeply missed by all who knew him, but his memory will live on in the hearts of those who loved him.
