Gumercindo C. Zambrano Jr., a lifelong resident of Winton California, passed away peacefully at home on August 29, 2025. Born on January 19, 1971 to Gumercindo and Yolanda Zambrano, Gumer lived his entire life staying close to the family that he loved.
Gumer graduated high school in 1990, and worked a number of jobs over the years. His first job was at the Winton Gas Station where he connected with many of the residents of the community with his outgoing personality and boisterous laughter. He went on to work in the food processing industry for several years.
Having never married, Gumer maintained very close ties to his parents, his brother, and his sisters. He loved his nephews and nieces dearly, and celebrated their accomplishments and the milestones in their lives, as if they were his own children. He is survived by his mother, Yolanda Zambrano; his sister Elsa (Hereld) Stuart, his twin sister Birdy (Marvin) Waddel, and his brother Jeremy Zambrano; nephews David (Claudia) Waddel, Josiah (Chelsea) Waddel, Silas Stuart, Joseph Miranda, and Jeremy Zambrano Jr.; nieces Shaunessy (Isaiah) Acosta, Sierra (Jordan) Chappell, Jacinda (Richie) Romena, and Audrey Zambrano; great nephews Jack Waddel, and Liam Romena; and great nieces Emma Waddel, Allison Acosta, Jessa Chappell, and Jana Romena.
He was preceded in death by his father, Gumercindo R. Zambrano Sr., and his nephew DiAndre Waddel.
Gumer’s passion for life was matched by his love for his family. Always ready for the food and fun he was at the heart of every family gathering where his laughter, storytelling, warm spirit, and love of celebration created cherished memories that will be shared for years to come.
A service will be held on Thursday, September 11, 2025 at 10:00 a.m. at Landmark Tabernacle, 1927 Olive Ave. Atwater, California.
