Guadalupe Garcia Rodriguez – 94, passed away peacefully at his home in Merced on May 16, 2026. Guadalupe was born in Jalisco, Mexico to parents Leandro Garcia and Isabel Rodriguez, and has lived in the Merced area just over 12 years.

He is survived by his daughters Maria Guadalupe Gonzalez, Norma Alicia Garcia, Myrna Garcia, Blanca Esthela Garcia, and Patricia Garcia, sons Jorge and Sergio Garcia; 14 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren.

He is preceded in death by his parents, his loving wife Ofelia Macias, and daughter Maria Isabel Tamayo. 

Recitation of the Rosary and Funeral Mass will be Friday, June 5th at Sacred Heart Catholic Church. The Rosary will begin at 9:30am followed by the Mass at 10:00am, with burial immediately following at Calvary Cemetery. 

 Reception/Lunch and Celebration of Life will follow the graveside service at the family home located at 1247 Brookdale Dr., Merced, CA 95340
