David Alan Love

David Alan Love, age 78, of Atwater, California died peacefully in his home on October 29, 2023. David was born on July 14, 1945, in San Francisco, California to Richard Mitchell Love and Minnie Adell Austin Love. David attended Montgomery High School in Santa Rosa CA. After High School, David enlisted in the Army and served in the Korean War as an Army Medic. He married Karen Ferretti in March of 1981, and their son Brian was born later that year.

David and Karen made their home in the Las Vegas area for several years before moving to Merced in the late eighties. After decades in a career as a salesperson, David transitioned into the Real Estate industry. He had the designation of being a (GRI) Graduate, REALTOR Institute and was the Broker of David Love Property Management. His objective was to support both property owners and tenants. Josie Gonzalez of JMG Realty and Property Management, Inc. will continue David's legacy of Property Management.

David is preceded in death by his parents and his wife Karen. David is survived by his brother Richard and his wife Bonnie of Tennessee, son Brian and granddaughter Marley.

Special thanks to his dear friends Matilda and Roger Villanueva and to his neighbors Amie Marchini and Kory Billings for their support during this year. Following a car accident in February, David was hospitalized off and on for most of the year and was finally able to be in his home for nearly two months surrounded by his pets.

By his choice, David's final resting place will be at the Oak Lawn Memorial Cemetery in Sparta, Tennessee where he will be interred near his mother.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Wilson Family Funeral Chapel, 1290 N. Winton Way, Atwater on Wednesday, November 29th at 11am. All are welcome to hear and share stories about a great person!
