Darlene Evale Esau passed away on December 16, 2025 at the age of 90. She was born on November 24, 1935 in Cimarron Kansas.
Darlene was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 68 years, Robert Esau. At 90 years of age, she had lost many other friends and loved ones, including all of her siblings and many in laws as well as one grandson and one great grandson.
She is survived by her children, Mark Esau (wife Donna), Evale Fillman (husband Frank), Janet Bamford (husband Keith), Arlyn Esau (wife Marina) and Darrell Esau (wife Katherine); along with 15 grandchildren and 26 great grandchildren.
Darlene dedicated over 20 years of her life as the director of Fruitland Christian Preschool, where her deep love for children shone through every day. She also found great joy in serving in the Children's Church Ministry. She loved to teach young children about Jesus and His love for them. She had a special way with kids and nurtured them with kindness, patience and love. Her faith in others and love for Jesus has left a lasting impact on the many lives she touched over the years.
Darlene will be remembered for her loving heart, her devotion to her family and her lifelong joy in caring for and teaching children.
Funeral services will be held on December 30, 2025 at 10am at Winton First Baptist Church.
