Biography
Crystal Faith Wilson was born in Whitefield, New Hampshire, on January 24, 1948, to Roland and Ethel Marie Chamberlain. She had 8 siblings, 2 brothers and 6 sisters.
In 1966, she moved to Merced, CA, to live with her Grandmother. She gave her heart to Jesus at a young age, as her Grandmother regularly took her to church, and she attended church camp.
She married Dale Wilson on November 3, 1966. They had two boys, Dale Wade Wilson and Christopher James Wilson. She has 6 Grandchildren, Stephanie, Marlena, Brandon, Adrian, Joseph, and Rachel, and 3 great grandchildren, Shirley, Skyler, and Luke.
When her boys were young, she enjoyed going on walks and liked taking walks to foster freeze for a treat. She enjoyed reading to them and taking them to the movies. Crystal loved her many pet dogs. Especially her dog buddy, who will miss her very much.
From the Grandchildren:
Crystal was a devoted and loving grandmother who found great joy in caring for and spending time with her grandchildren. To them, visits to their grandmother’s home were a source of excitement and comfort, often feeling as magical as a trip to Disneyland. In their younger years, she delighted in taking them on walks through the almond orchard, gently pulling them in a wagon and creating cherished memories. She took great pleasure in treating her grandchildren to outings, whether enjoying a simple meal at McDonald’s, sharing pizza, or indulging them with their favorite foods. Thoughtful and intentional, she would set aside money throughout the year so she could take them out for special treats during their school breaks. Crystal ensured her home was always welcoming and prepared for her grandchildren. She kept their favorite snacks readily available and thoughtfully provided for their needs with personal items such as toothbrushes, kids cups and plates, along with a special space just for play. She especially treasured hosting sleepovers, which brought her and her grandchildren much happiness. She enjoyed engaging in meaningful activities with them, including working on puzzles, playing board games such as Sorry and checkers, going to the movies, and shopping. Her granddaughters fondly remember their Friday evening tradition of going out together to select movies to rent. Known for her sweet and gentle spirit, Crystal created a safe and loving environment where her grandchildren felt comfortable sharing their thoughts and hearts. She was a patient listener, and they could spend hours in conversation with her, always feeling deeply loved and understood.
