Clifford James Jordan aka “Jim” (Born on June 11th, 1953) in Columbus, Ohio to Clifford and Virginia Jordan.
A devoted husband, father, and grandfather, Jim passed away on Saturday, July 20th at the age of 71. He will be deeply missed by his loving family and all those who knew him.
Jim is survived by his beautiful wife of 51 years Nancy; their two children Christie (Pete Juarez), Greg (Nathina Jordan); his amazing grandsons Atticus and Tyler; his brother Robert; sister Cletis Perry and his beloved brothers-in-law Kenny Martin, Steve Martin and David Martin.
Jim was a proud Air Force veteran of over 20 years and retiree of the Merced County Sheriffs Department. Jim enjoyed spending time with his family, watching Westerns on TV, cheering on his beloved San Francisco sports teams and spending countless weekends volunteering for the Atwater Police Department and the Kiwanis Club of Greater Merced.
But more than anything, Jim loved making people smile. He had a kind heart and a quick wit, and he will be remembered for his ability to light up a room with his presence, spontaneous humorous comebacks, one liners and jokes.
Throughout his life, Jim was a rock for his family, always there to offer a listening ear and a comforting word. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on through the countless lives he touched.
Rest in peace, Jim. Your love and legacy will never be forgotten.
