Carol Rogge Obituary

In loving memory of Carol Elaine Rogge, born December 26 1941 in Council Bluffs Iowa to Maudielane Aden and Ralph Fogle.

Carol married her forever love Larry C Rogge on December 19 1959. After years of traveling (during Pop’s Naval Service) they settled roots in Atwater CA in December of 1980. Carol entered into the Lord’s embrace on May 8th, 2024, leaving behind a legacy of love, kindness, and cherished memories.

Together for more than 64 years, Grammie and Poppie built a life filled with love, laughter, and adventures. Carol spent Pop’s Navy years as a stay-at-home Mom caring for her children while the family traveled and enriched their lives with many cherished memories.  After moving to the Central Valley Carol completed her AA at Merced College learning ASL in order to communicate with students in the Deaf and Hard of Hearing program where she was hired to work for the Merced County Office of Education as an Instructional Aid. During her career she touched the lives of countless students, their families and her work family.

Her children, Janice Rogge, Julie (Rogge) Jones, husband Edward, Randy Rogge, wife Nancy, were the heartbeat of Carol's existence. She poured her heart into nurturing, guiding, and supporting them, leaving an indelible mark on their souls.

Carol was preceded in death by her son Russell and infant son Robert, her parents and brothers Gary and Greg.

Her legacy extends beyond her immediate family, touching the lives of 19 grand and great-grandchildren, who were the light of her later years. She leaves behind memories, lessons, and unconditional love that will continue to guide and inspire generations to come.

Her grandchildren include: Andrew Imbrie, wife Ploua, Richard Imbrie and Debbie Pearce, Katrina Trexler, Kendra (Trexler) Granado, husband Matthew, Breanne Rogge, Austin Rogge, Alexander Rogge and Brianna Garcia, Maleigha and Malani Rogge, Nathaniel and Allie Jones.

Her great grandchildren include: Matthew, Benjamin and Tatum Granado, Isley, Logan, Haley and Owen Imbrie, Kailee Wilde, Mya and Noah Rogge.

Her circle of family includes her dear brother, Jeff Fogle and sister-in-law Vicki Fogle, whose bond with Carol was rooted in their shared childhood experiences and continued through heartfelt regular phone calls and visits to the many places her family traveled.

Carol is also survived by her brother and sister-in -law, Lloyd and Muriel Rogge, and sister-in-law Pam Fogle who shared in her joys and sorrows, offering unwavering support and companionship throughout her life's journey. They added depth and richness to her family connections, creating a tapestry of love and kinship that will endure beyond the passage of time. Their love and support enriched Carol's journey, weaving an even tighter bond within her family's love.

Carol found joy in the simple pleasures of life, teaching Confirmation classes, finding solace in her travels, creating intricate patterns with her crochet hook, and finding beauty in the delicate flutter of hummingbird wings and the warmth of the many pups that shared her lap.

Carol, born with a heart full of compassion and hands ever ready to help, touched countless lives throughout her journey. Her passion for helping others was unmatched, as she selflessly offered her time and support to those in need, leaving a profound impact on everyone she encountered. Though Carol may have bid farewell to this world, her spirit will forever linger in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to have known her. May her gentle soul find eternal peace, and may her memory be a source of comfort and strength to all who mourn her loss.
