Boonmee Eads married her husband of 50 years, Robert Stanley Eads, in Thailand on February 24th, 1975. The Air Force assigned Robert, accompanied by Boonmee and their daughter Melinda, to a Kansas air base in 1976 until 1977, then to England for a year (1978), followed by a transfer to Spain for 3.5 years, and finally, in 1982, the family was stationed at Castle Air Force Base, Atwater. ... Boonmee always worked (even past retirement). She packaged poultry at Foster Farms in Livingston for 35 years. She loved the work environment and camaraderie. Lunch break for Boonmee was like a picnic with friends and coworkers. ... She spent several hours a day tending to her beloved plants and garden from Spring to Fall. She also turned a tidy profit on picking & selling fruit & berries in the Fall from trees she nurtured. ... Additionally, Boonmee was an avid fisherman. She made large jars of fish sauce for sale during her spare time. ... Her hobby was cooking, especially large orders, which btw always sold out. Boonmee was very charismatic and believed she would have been plant manager at Foster Farms had she been born in America. She spoke English well and had an excellent memory for words. Boonmee taught herself how to read and write English. ... She drove up to the casinos at least twice a week. She lived a full life to the very last. ... Boonmee loved living in Winton because it was like everything she ever wanted since being a little girl. A nice, central location. ... She cooked for and attended weekly Buddhist ceremonies at the local temple in Merced, where she was very popular.
