Deaconess Annie Ruth Scott was born on May 22nd, 1945, in Conway, Arkansas to

Robert Leandra Givan and Annie Beatrice Westbrook.  Annie Scott was married to Deacon (WM) Wisdom Matthew Scott Sr., (Deceased) and is survived by her children Sharon Wells, Gwendolyn Scott, and son, Wisdom Matthew Scott Jr., and his wife Tammy Scott.  Daughter Darlene Jones (Deceased) Son in Law Denis Wells (Deceased) She has 11 Grandchildren, 19 Great Grandchildren, and 1 Great-Great Granddaughter as well as numerous Nieces and Nephews.

Deaconess Scott was a retired Licensed Vocational Nurse at Merced MCMC.  She served alongside Deacon Scott by working at the voting polls.

Deaconess Scott was a member of the Eastern Stars and Second Baptist Church where she held several positions such as Sunday School Teacher, Treasurer, Trustee, Mentor, Deaconess.  She assisted with the functions of the Missionary Food Program.

Deaconess Scott in her free time loved to travel, listen to music, play cards and dominoes with her friends and family, watch Tennis, and other sports, as well as Old TV Westerns.

On May 30th, 2026, at Second Baptist Church 501 Q Street, Merced, Ca, 95340, Memorial services will take place at 11:00 am.  Pastor Ronald Dunham Sr. presiding. She will be laid to rest with her beloved husband WM Scott, at the San Joaquin Valley National Cemetery on Monday, June 1st.
